A PLACE in the Sun fans have been left furious as they missed the latest instalment of the show after a schedule shake-up.

Viewers were left in shock as they discovered that the programme had moved an hour earlier, leading to them missing out.

The Channel 4 property series began airing its latest episode at 3pm, catching some fans out who were under the impression that the show began at 4pm.

It marks a change for the show as from Bank Holiday Monday it began to air at the brand new time of 3pm.

It led to confusion online as fans called out the broadcaster for switching up the schedule.

Writing online, one fan said: "Good afternoon to one and all! Late to table! Naughty schedule changing back to 1500hrs!"

Another similarly said: "Afternoon all, wait what - it's changed times again? B**ls."

As a third completely missed the start of the show as they were left asking fellow viewers to inform them what the show's budget was after tuning in mid way through.

They wrote: "What's today's budget? I have only just realised it's on #aplaceinthesun."

Even worse, some fans were left aggravated after turning in at 4pm to find out the show had ended completely.

One blasted Channel 4 as they said: "Missed the whole show. Thanks for nothing @Channel4."

As a second fumed: "Just tuning in and it's all over?!!"

The series is currently presented by an array of on-screen talent including Jasmine Harman, Laura Hamilton and Jean Johansson.

Its previous stars include Jonnie Irwin, who famously claimed the show dumped him as a result of her terminal illness, Scarlette Douglas and Danni Menzies.
