While Olivia's character Sandy was the sweet newcomer, she struggled to fit in with the Pink Ladies, who were led by Rizzo.

Rizzo was played by actress Stockard Channing, and despite all the characters being at High School in the film, Stockard was 34 when the film was released.

Now 79, Stockard was pictured attending the opening night of Medea in London's West End earlier this year.

Stockard has long since ditched Rizzo's short dark brown hair and now sports long lighter brown locks with blonde highlights.

Following her role in Grease, Stockard continued to act in hit films, and was nominated for a Best Actress Oscar for 1993's Six Degrees Of Separation.

Other credits include First Wives Club, Smoke, and The Business of Strangers.

Meanwhile, she appeared in hit drama series The West Wing as Abbey Bartlet from 1999 to 2006, and The Good Wife as Veronica Loy from 2012 to 2016.

Stockard isn't the only cast member who looks worlds away from their Grease character.

Actor Barry Pearl, who played Doody, looked unrecognisable as he attended the 2023 Los Angeles Jewish Film Festival in May.

Barry, now 73, has swapped his distinctive thick brown curls for a full head of grey hair and glasses.
