Naked Attraction AXED in huge Channel 4 cull as big name shows are cancelled
ONE of TV’s most X-rated shows Naked Attraction has been axed in a huge cull at Channel 4, according to reports.
The show, one of Channel 4‘s most high-profile programmes, sees contestants picking partners based on their naked bodies.
But it is reportedly facing the chop along with Four Weddings, Scared of The Dark and Rescue: Extreme Medics.
The reports staff at the struggling channel are calling the culling of these shows a ‘bloodbath’.
A source said: “At first everyone was in total shock when Four Weddings was cancelled.
‘”It’s almost unheard of that a show that is going really well is decommissioned, but as news started to spread, other shows were falling down too.
“The casting team were already in place to start on Naked Attraction and were all told they were no longer needed as they were not making another series.”
However, a Channel 4 spokesperson told The Sun: “Naked Attraction has not been decommissioned and a new series will return to Channel 4 next year.
“Scared of the Dark enjoyed a celebrated first season with excellent linear and streaming performance.
“Channel 4 is in robust health – however like all commercial broadcasters we’re taking some precautionary measures – such as rephrasing some content and production – in response to a downturn in the ad-market.
“The vast majority of our shows have not been affected.”
The series is known for its eye-popping contestants who are fully nude, and extreme and shocking scenes.
Some that have shocked viewers include men tinkering with some of the most intimate piercings imaginable – and boasting about their oral sex skills.
Other classic Naked Attraction moments show a woman licking cream off a potential partner and a couple humping in a budget hotel.
One girl was seen looking at one bloke’s body saying approvingly: “Nice bit of girth on that penis.”
