VAN Der Valk viewers ripped into 'beyond bad' series three as they abandoned the show after just one episode.
ITV aired the first episode of the third instalment of the crime drama series, however fans were seemingly not impressed.

Viewers took to social media in their droves as they slammed the broadcaster for the 'awful acting and terrible scripts' in Van Der Valk.
One fan wrote: "VanDerValk really is miserably mediocre."
A second said: "VanDerValk Is it me or is the dialogue pretty terrible?"
"VanDerValk Utter rubbish, acting awful, script appalling, even the the extras are looking like they should be on a photo shoot with their perfectly pressed urban clobber. Surely there was space for this c*** on ITV4 in the afternoon?" commented a third.

Meanwhile, a fourth noted: "Something is just a little bit c*** about this series. Can’t quite put my finger on what. Sorry, I’m out #VanDerValk."
And a fifth exclaimed: "Just discovered the existence of #VanDerValk I’ve seen some awful acting, terrible scripts, low production design and foreign settings used as random backdrop while all characters act sound behave 100% British. But this is beyond bad. How can ITV broadcast such stuff at prime time?"
The original show, starring Barry Foster as Simon "Piet" Van der Valk, was released in 1972.
In the remake, Marc Warren takes on the lead role of Simon "Piet" Van Der Valk.

His roles have included Albert Blithe in Band of Brothers, Danny Blue in Hustle, Dougie Raymond in The Vice, Dominic Foy in State of Play, Elton Pope in Doctor Who and Rick in Mad Dogs.
