Who is Rose Knight on EastEnders?

Rose Knight is the mysterious ex-wife of new Queen Vic landlord George Knight (portrayed by Colin Salmon).

However, EastEnders fans are convinced that she is Cindy Beale, who is set to make a dramatic return to the Square.

The Sun exclusively revealed that actress Michelle Collins is reprising her role as Cindy as bosses bring her back from the dead.

It's now being speculated the criminal has changed her identity, and will return as Rose Knight.

Cindy died off screen in 1998, with her former husband Ian Beale receiving a message saying she had died in childbirth in prison.

What happened to Rose Knight on EastEnders?

Rose walked out on her own family nine years ago, leaving her then-husband George to raise their two daughters Anna and Gina.

But in scenes airing on the BBC One soap, the former boxer finds out what really happened to his wife - and his own secrets leave him struggling to cope.

In tonight's episode (June 21, 2023) viewers will finally learn more about Rose in a dramatic instalment.

Teasing the big reveal, EastEnders has been sharing trailer clips on their social media account.

With the Queen Vic pub visible in the background, “Every Rose… Has a Thorn" flashes up on screen.

Viewers are convinced Cindy adopted the new name of Rose after faking her own death.

Taking to social media to comment on the Rose Thorne clue, one fan said: “Great detective work."

A second wrote: “Omg this is so clever if this is true!!”
