This Morning’s Holly Willoughby slammed by trolls after sharing snap of son celebrating Pride Day at school
THIS MORNING’S Holly Willoughby has been slammed by disgusting trolls for sharing a snap of her son celebrating Pride Day at school with rainbow-coloured hair.
The post attracted a lot of attention from the mum-of-three’s followers, most of which were positive, but also included a lot of negative comments.
The drama began when Holly, 42, shared a photo of her eight-year-old son Chester with rainbow-coloured hair making a heart shape with his hands.
The This Morning star wrote: “This is how we do Pride day at school.”
The innocent post about celebrating inclusivity and love was immediately taken over by trolls who were outraged that such an event was taking place at school age.
One person wrote: “Are you serious? There is a pride day at junior school?!!”
“Pride is for grownups not kids, let kids be kids,” added another person.
And someone else penned: “There should not be pride day at school. Kids have enough to worry about!!”
Thankfully not all of Holly’s followers had that opinion.
One person wrote: “A lot of the comments on here are the exact reason they need a pride day at school.”
“Omg the comments on this is are disgusting, the future of this world is doomed if these are the kind of bigots outs there. Pride is about love and respect, I hope he has an amazing day at school and just has fun,” blasted one person.
Another social media user added: “Love this,” followed by two Pride flags, “I’m so horrified at some of the replies to this post.”
“Love this. So many horrible comments, many of the children in primary school who are feeling conflicted about their sexual orientation should be taught it’s okay, as long as it’s done in a gentle way which I’m sure it is,” wrote a fourth follower.
Holly is currently at Glastonbury festival with her husband Dan Baldwin and friends.
