We’re fuming over hit HBO show filming around our picturesque homes – they’re showing a total lack of respect
RESIDENTS who live where a hit HBO show is being filmed have said production crews are showing a “total lack of respect”.
Season two of House of the Dragon, a prequel to Game of Thrones, is currently being shot across North Wales in locations such as Gwynedd and Conwy.
Photographs reveal coastal scenes were filmed for the fantasy drama series, which follows the reign of House Targaryen, near Penmon Priory, Anglesey.
Parts of the beach were closed off and cavalry soldiers were filmed riding across fields, reported.
Dinorwic Quarry in Gwynedd has also been blocked off to members of the public because two days of incendiary filming are expected.
After nearly three weeks of site preparation, the former slate quarry has been transformed into a massive battlefield set.
However, one anonymous local claimed they were “aggressively accosted” by a security guard when trying to walk the quarry’s public footpaths.
The walker : “As someone who regularly walks this route in Dinorwic quarry, I am disappointed at the total lack of respect shown to local residents by members of your production crew, some of whom think themselves above the law.
“Whilst taking pictures, I was aggressively accosted by a security guard who told me I was not allowed to take pictures, even though I was on a public right of way.
“Could you please ensure members of your team familiarise themselves with local laws which give them no powers to prevent such photography from public rights of way.”
The filming is said to be for a scene depicting the Battle of Rook’s Rest – the first major battle in the storyline’s civil war.
The Sun has contacted production company Warner Brothers Discovery for comment.
