Dancing on Ice’s sexiest star to strip NAKED after signing up for shock reality show

FANS of The Real Full Monty are in for a treat now Dancing On Ice’s gorgeous Vanessa Bauer has signed up for the ITV show.

I can exclusively reveal that the German skater will join other stars, including Paul Burrell, in stripping off to raise awareness of people checking themselves for early diagnosis.

The royal butler was diagnosed with prostate cancer last year and Vanessa also has personal reasons for taking part in the show.

A source said: “Vanessa sadly lost her dear dad to cancer in 2021 so when she was asked to take part in The Real Full Monty she jumped at the chance.

“Her dad lived with the disease for six years and she wants to help raise awareness.

“Paul is one of the stars who has also signed up.

“His own cancer journey is ongoing and he finished his last round of radiotherapy in April.

“It was incredibly emotional for both Vanessa and Paul during filming but they knew by taking part they would help to make a difference and get people checking themselves.

“Naturally there were lots of laughs along the way — getting your kit off on camera makes people incredibly silly but it was all very good fun.”

I have to say, stripping off in front of millions of people is something not many people would be brave enough to do — so I applaud Vanessa and Paul for taking part.

The show, which is fronted by Coleen Nolan and Ashley Banjo, has also signed up ex-footballer Ashley Cain.

He lost his baby daughter Azaylia to leukaemia in 2021 when she was just eight months old.

Since her death he has made it his mission to raise awareness and money for childhood cancer.

I will definitely be tuning in to hear their stories.

ZARA McDermott is hoping to spark change to better support young women with her new three-part documentary.

The former Love Island star is looking into the death of 19-year-old Gaia Pope-Sutherland, who died from hypothermia after running away from home in 2017.

Zara, who will meet with friends and family of the Dorset teen, says: “When I first heard about the disappearance of Gaia, I was immediately struck.

“She and I were the same age.

“I saw Gaia’s face on the news for days and days after this, and it really struck a chord with me: A young woman with the world at her feet, yet her life was over before it had even begun.

“I began diving deeper into Gaia’s story, alongside her brave family.

“This young woman needed a voice, and I wanted to tell her story.”

Gaia: A Death On Dancing Ledge begins on BBC Three and iPlayer on July 25.

They will be followed by comic David Whitley and model Eva Apio and their mothers.

The programme will focus on African and Caribbean cultures and the bond between mothers and their children.

Cicelia Deane of Black Entertainment Television, who commissioned the series, said: “Me & My Mum highlights how family can play a huge part in an individual’s success.

“It is also a great chance to show black families in an authentic light.”

Episodes air weekly on Wednesdays on My5.

Grylls big fear

BEAR GRYLLS may not be afraid of anything in the wild – but he’s scared of watching himself back on TV.

The adventurer – who will be joined by Bradley Cooper and Benedict Cumberbatch for the new series of Running Wild With Bear Grylls: The Challenge next month – told actor Rob Lowe's podcast: “About five years ago, I just stopped watching, maybe as I was getting older and I really struggled seeing myself on camera.”

FORGET the Strictly “curse”, the show has been a blessing for Tyler West and Molly Rainford.

The couple, who met on the BBC competition last year and went official with their relationship in March, looked loved-up as they posed for photos after jetting off on holiday.

Molly, who recently joined EastEnders as Anna Knight, headed to Marbella with Kiss FM DJ Tyler, for a weekend break from filming.

The couple sipped drinks on a yacht and soaked up the sunshine in the pool in snaps shared to their social media fans.

Their Strictly co-stars fought to be first to comment, with pro dancer Neil Jones writing under the post: “I’m here for this every day of my life.”

Molly previously opened up about how all their co-stars supported their blossoming love story.

She said: “They kind of wanted it to happen [all the way through the show] and we were like, ‘No, we are trying to be professional’.

“It developed towards the end of the tour because we’d spent so much time together and we were really good friends.

"We were doing everything together, it just progressed from there really.

“We’d already got all the scary stuff out of the way – our parents were in the Strictly audience together and they got on really well.”

Real life on ward

WHILE Call The Midwife gave viewers a charming look at the job of delivering babies, the real midwives set to star in W show Nurses On The Ward say they are looking forward to seeing their role more accurately reflected.

They are among the staff followed by cameras as the series returns for a second installment tonight.

Midwife Amy Rowlinson told The Sun: “When we’re caring for women on the ward, lots of them will be like, ‘Oh, I thought this or that would happen’, because of what they have seen on TV.

“We’re able to educate people about what’s normal."
