Inside Corrie & Waterloo Road icon Angela Griffin’s birthday celebrations at £600 a night retreat with rarely-seen kids
CORONATION Street and Waterloo Road legend Angela Griffin let her hair down as she enjoyed a plush getaway as she marked turning a year older.
The actress visited the exclusive members only Babington House in Somerset with her family as she marked turning 47.
Angela is most notable for her leading role in BBC One school based drama series Waterloo Road as Kim Campbell and also for her stint on the Coronation Street cobbles as Fiona Middleton.
The star looked incredible as she shared a slew of snaps from her private getaway with her hubby and her children, Tallulah and Melissa.
Angela married Jason Milligan at Babington House in 2006 and they share two adorable children together.
A night’s stay at the fancy getaway can cost upwards of £600 a night.
Sharing a caption about how special the uber luxurious getaway is to her, Angela gushed about her week of celebrations alongside the snaps.
The former Corrie star wrote: “Had the most glorious birthday at #babingtonhouse with my family.
“Short and sweet but utterly beautiful.”
Sharing more details, she added: “It’s been a while since we last stayed, even though we got married here 17 years ago.
“It still feels like you’re visiting a friends country home, so warm and friendly. Intimate. And properly chilled.
“Babbers, we won’t leave it so long again. Promise.”
In the snaps, Angela can be seen relaxing and frolicking in a large silver bathtub as she and her family appeared to indulge in the use of clay face masks.
Looking sensational, Angela also shared a snap of her tucking into a plush birthday meal as well as sharing a close-up of a huge birthday cake.
The cake featured an assortment of fruit that decorated the top while a message that read ‘Happy Birthday’ could be seen around the plate.
Angela’s co-star, Adam Thomas, left a sweet message under the post as he wrote: “Awwww happy birthday xxxx.”
Amanda Holden also left a series of red hearts underneath the sweet post.
