BBC Breakfast’s Naga Munchetty tells Saturday Kitchen’s Matt Tebbutt he’s on ‘dangerous ground’ after cheeky exchange
BBC BREAKFAST’S Naga Munchetty today told Matt Tebbutt he was on “dangerous ground”.
The weekend news anchor, 48, regular teases the Saturday Kitchen host, 49, and this morning was no different.
Naga was today hosting BBC Breakfast alongside stand-in co-host Roger Johnson.
She is well known for her cheeky quips, and today Matt was the butt of her joke.
During this morning’s live link up with Saturday Kitchen, Naga revealed she was “hungry, as she hadn’t had her “second breakfast”.
After running through everything she ate during the day, Matt quipped with a cheeky grin: “Wow! You can tuck it away can’t you!”
But with mock anger, Naga immediately hit back with: “I’d leave it there!
“Any more and you are on dangerous ground, and you don’t want to go there do you!”
She then added: “I’d be careful!”
This caused Matt to burst out laughing, before he quickly moved on to what was coming up on Saturday Kitchen.
Meanwhile, yesterday Naga was flooded with support from fans after she shared a picture from a hospital bed.
After BBC Breakfast ended she headed off to a medical facility so she could donate blood to a good cause.
As she lay on the bed – still in the outfit she wore on the show – Naga talked her fans through the process while hooked up to a machine which was taking her blood.
She said: “I’ve just done the Breakfast shift and just nipped in to give some blood, it will be over in about 15 to 20 minutes.
“I’m feeling good but the thing that makes me feel most good is that hopefully it will save someone’s life.”
BBC Breakfast airs daily on BBC One and iPlayer.
