Emmerdale fans demand return of original family after years of ‘neglect’ from soap bosses
THE Tates and Kings have shaken things up in the Dales for several years with many of its members wreaking havoc in the village.
However, Emmerdale fans have taken to a , demanding soap bosses bring the Sugdens back into the spotlight.
ITV viewers seem to have had enough of Queen Kim Tate and the King family.
The Tates and Kings have been at the core of recent storylines with Caleb Milligan rocking up the village with his son Nicky to steal Kim's fortune and Tom King returning home after a decade away.
But many fans of the Yorkshire-based drama have grown tired of both families being thrown into the spotlight to the detriment of Emmerdale's original clan.
As any diehard Emmerdale fan will know, the Sugdens were introduced during the show's conception in 1972.
More Emmerdale
In recent years, many of them have left the eponymous village with Victoria Sugden (Isabel Hodgins) and Andy Sugden's daughter Sarah (Katie Hill) being the only members left in the Dales.
"So much focus is placed on The Tates and Kings, but is time to that we saw a boost of Emmerdale's original family?", one fan questioned.
They added: "I know we have Victoria and Sarah, but I would love to see the return of Andy, Robert and especially Daz."
Another quickly jumped in pointing out that soap bosses would have plenty of drama to unpack with the Sugden clan being so large.

"Yes, there are plenty too. Robert, Jack and Joe could all have a child somewhere and in the case of Jack could also have grandkids."
"Maybe Jack had a secret one night stand with Chas... Haha just joking about that", they commented.
"I would recast Robert and take him out of prison. Beyond that, yes, I would think Jack has a long-list child or two. Joe might as well", another viewer suggested.
This was met with opposition among other fans who haven't had enough of actor Ryan Hawley.
However, this also prompted another soap viewer to share their own view on the matter - and according to them, the Sugdens may no longer have their place in Emmerdale.
"I mean Robert coming back would be good. Unfortunately, I don't actually know what place he (or any Sugdens for that matter) would have at the moment", they wrote.
"The Dingles take up the farms, Kim's got most properties, and now with Caleb around...I'm not sure what someone like Robert - or any Sugden - could be."
Another viewer pointed out that Moira Dingle (Natalie J. Robb) could be the Sugdens' main obstacle.
"It’s criminal we only have 2 remaining in Sarah and Victoria, and with Victoria you’ll find it hard to find many who like her and still want her in the show."
"With Moira owning the farm I don’t think we’ll ever see a Sugden back where they belong."
