Geordie Shore star forced to shut down his posh restaurant after just two years – owing £300k
GEORDIE Shore star Greg Lake has been forced to shut down his posh restaurant after going bust.
The 38-year-old, who appeared in the first series of the MTV show, opened the exclusive eatery, called Novo, in Morpeth, Northumberland in 2021.
The hunk, who shares a child with his ex Hollyoaks actress Jennifer Metcalfe, went into partnership with his girlfriend Alicia's mum Jeanette.
But, just two years later the brassiere has been forced to close its doors, with debts of more than £360,000.
According to Companies House, the company behind the venue, G&L (Morpeth) Ltd, has gone into liquidation .
Documents show that staff are owed £5,561 in holiday pay and arrears, while Greg is owed £147, 562.

More cash is owed to a number of suppliers, including nearly £2k to a local butcher.
When Novo opened it was inundated with visits from celebs from the area, including Vicky Pattison and Newcastle United footballer Kieran Tripper.
Speaking to at the time of opening, Greg said: "My girlfriend lives in Morpeth so it's a place I've spent a lot of time in.
"My favourite thing to do is to go out, have food and some good wine and for me, while Morpeth has got a lovely Italian and some good restaurants, there was a gap in the market for a place like Novo.

"I want Novo to attract every calibre of person, as I believe we cater for all."
Greg also runs sustainable heating and insulation company, GEC Power.
The former reality star welcomed his son Daye into the world during his relationship with actress Jennifer, who is best known for playing Mercedes McQueen in Hollyoaks.
Greg and Jennifer were in a relationship for eight years before they split in 2020.
