Countryfile reveals A-list actress is joining BBC show as guest presenter next week for very special episode
COUNTRYFILE has confirmed that Dame Judi Dench is joining the show as a guest presenter in a huge move.
The award-winning actress will co-host a very special edition of the programme broadcast from the Scottish Highlands.
Judi’s shock appearance on the show was confirmed in a teaser for next week’s episode when Sean Fletcher and Matt Baker told BBC viewers that she would be taking the reigns.
Before sharing a preview clip, the hosts told viewers: “Join us next week for something rather special as we welcome acting royalty in Dame Judi Dench, who’ll be guest editing the show.”
Judi will be co-hosting the special edition alongside Strictly Come Dancing winner Hamza Yassin and Countryfile regular Charlotte Smith.
In a first-look at the James Bond star’s unexpected appearance on the show, Judi said: “I would say, actually, that my spiritual home is Scotland, simply because I just feel comfortable here.”
Judi and her co-stars will explore the wildlife of the Scottish Highlands and even find themselves taking on a few activities as Judi spills on her love for the lush open-spaces at the the very top of the country.
The actress was seen giggling as a painting activity appeared to go awry as she was left with paint all over her face.
In another moment, the star appears to be left gobsmacked as Hamza pulls over their car after spying a golden eagle in the skies above.
She shouts: “Where! Where! Where!”
Judi has been known to spend a lot of time in Scotland and left holidaymakers stunned earlier this year when she performed a surprise set of songs at New Year for the country’s Hogmanay celebrations.
Hosts Sean and Matt teased that the episode would be ‘rather special’.
