CORONATION Street star Sally Carman has been cheered on by her co-stars after revealing her huge new job away from the soap.
The actress, who plays Abi Franklin on the Cobbles, has landed a directing role for a brand new stage show.
Sally, 42, took to Instagram to share the exciting news.
The show will appear in JB Shorts Festival at Manchester’s 53 Two venue in October.
Sally said: "Very happy to be directing @lindsaywilliams8900 piece for the mighty @jbshortsplays this October at @53two.
"It runs from the 3rd to the 14th - be good to see you."

The actress has appeared in other shows including Shameless, Doctors, Heartbeat and Casualty.
Sally has been in a relationship with co-star Joe since 2018.
The pair regularly share an insight into what they get up to on Instagram - and enjoyed a romantic birthday trip to Krakow in May this year.
They tied the knot in July last year.
