A BELOVED comedy series is about to return to television screens across the country.
Channel 4 have announced that the panel game show Taskmaster will return in September.
The programme has been on-air since 2015 on Dave before it moved over to the commercial network in 2020.
During its tenure the series received widespread critical acclaim winning many awards including a BAFTA and British Comedy Guide Awards.
It also received more nominations at the ceremonies plus more nominations for the RTS (Royal Television Society) Awards as well as the NTA's.
And Channel 4 have confirmed that Greg Davies who has been labelled as the 'omniscient, omnipotent and omnivorous Taskmaster' will return.

It's also been confirmed that his assistant Alex Horne, creator of the BAFTA winning series will also be back in his role when the show makes its comeback.
The date of the return has been confirmed for Thursday 21st September at a time of 9pm.
The new series of the show will also feature of range of A-list stars including Julian Clary and Sue Perkins.
Previous guests have also included Shirley Ballas, Noel Fielding, Katherine Ryan, Rylan Clark and even Mel's former Bake Off presenting partner, Mel Giedroyc.

According to the description, each episode five people will come against all sorts of challenges which include the likes of wrangling against giant ducks, designing fresh sausages and create googly-eyed gangs.
After 10 episodes, one contestant will rise to collect a big gold head that's plonked on a small wooden plinth.
