Coronation Street star Jodie Prenger lands X-rated new job away from the soap
JODIE Prenger has announced an X-rated new job away from Coronation Street.
The actress, 44, joined Coronation Street last year as Rovers Return barmaid Glenda Shuttleworth.
But this Christmas Jodie will launch "rude" and "very camp" theatre show A Very, Very Bad Cinderella.
Jodie wrote the play with pal and fellow actor Neil Hurst and it's described on social media as: "The naughtiest and stagey-est show this Christmas."
In 2008 Jodie shot to fame as the winner of I'd Do Anything - a competition to find an actress to play Nancy in Oliver! on the West End.
She made her debut in the show in December that year and played the role until March 2010.

Jodie only turned up in Weatherfield as Glenda in August but she recently shared fears of being killed off in the current serial killer storyline.
Jodie spoke to about the current plot and how fans might see Glenda as one of Stephen Reid's next victims.
The West End star said: "Glenda has never liked him – ever since he took that £10 note! She clocks it, doesn't she?
"I think Glenda goes on a gut reaction and I don't think she thinks he's good news.
"But the sad thing is, [in real life] he's one of the nicest people! Everybody asks that."
Jodie went onto admit that all the cast face worry that they might meet their end at the hands of the killer, saying: "Yeah, of course it's a worry – because you don't know what's going to happen! Imagine if he gets me?"
