When does Strictly Come Dancing 2023 start?

Good news for fans of Strictly Come Dancing, there isn't long to wait until the new series starts.

The BBC One show – hosted by Claudia Winkleman and Tess Daly - will kick off Saturday, September 23, 2023, with the launch show.

On this special episode, the celebrities will reveal their pro partners.

Strictly 2023 will run for 13 weeks and finish on December 16, 2023, when a winner will be crowned.

Who won Strictly Come Dancing 2022?

Hamza Yassin and Jowita Przystał - who were firm favourites - were crowned the winners of Strictly Come Dancing 2022.

After the results were red out, a teary Hamza said: "Words can't describe how I feel.

"I want to thank one person in particular - Jowita. You are an angel disguised as a human being.

"You are amazing. Thank you to everyone out there for voting for us."
