He has defied doctors, however, who originally told him he only had six months to live.
At the end of August, Jonnie gave fans an update on his health during a check up.
The dad-of-three said he had undergone CT and MRI scans to monitor the illness via portable scanners located outdoors.
He explained: "I got some scans today. Not in a hospital but in a leisure centre car park. MRI and CT unit. In this, surprisingly.
"I actually had a great experience. We were able to park almost on the doorstep, no queue and done 'n' dusted in under 15 minutes. Well done #nhs."
Since then, Jonnie has been pictured on the red carpet with his former Escape to the Country colleague.
Posing with Nicki Chapman, Jonnie was all smiles in the glamorous snaps.
