Strictly’s Ellie Taylor admits she still hasn’t watched final Ted Lasso series – despite appearing in last episode
COMEDIAN Ellie Taylor has revealed that she has not watched the season finale of Ted Lasso – despite starring in the hit series.
The Strictly Come Dancing star, 39, played Flo ‘Sassy’ Collins in the hit Apple TV comedy alongside Jason Sudeikis.
However speaking to The Sun, Ellie said: “I have still got the last episode to watch.
“My husband and I have still not managed to sit down and we are like, ‘We have got to save it because it is long, we have got to not be tired and be in a good head space!’
“At some point I will find out what actually happened because I still don’t know – even though I am in the last episode – I don’t properly know what happens.”
Meanwhile the comedian, who has teamed up with Sky Protect, said starring on Strictly gave her confidence and allowed her to embrace her 5ft9ins frame.
She said: “I never had much physical confidence before and the way I do my stand-up is quite clownish.
“I have never held myself with any poise. To learn how to control myself or know if I am taught how to do it – it was nice to know I was in control of all my limbs for once in my life.”
Ellie continued: “I think dancing live on telly for ten weeks has made me go, ‘God, if I can do that, I can do anything.’
“It was so scary and the most frightening thing I have done in my life – to consistently scare yourself week after week and somehow get through it – it definitely makes you back yourself.
“I am terribly proud and I cannot wait to watch this year.”
Ellie, who is mum to daughter Valentina, also revealed how she has transformed her home through Sky Protect.
She said: “Home insurance is such a sort of grudge purchase. No one thinks as a kid, ‘Oh my God cannot wait to grow up and pay home insurance.’
“It feels like with the home insurance you get something tangible out of even if you aren’t claiming anything – with Sky Protect it is so joined up with cameras and leak detectors and stuff and the smart doorbells – it makes insurance a bit more sexy!”
