Love Island star sparks huge feud as they rant at Paige Thorne over controversial new job
LOVE Island star Brett Staniland has unleashed a war of words on Paige Thorne after the announcement of her controversial new fashion partnership.
The former ITV2 star regularly calls out celebrities and brands in the fast fashion industry over accusations of exploitation and questions regarding their sustainability.
Brett's latest rant took direct aim at fellow Islander Paige Thorne after she was unveiled as the latest brand ambassador for online retailer, Shein.
Paige has launched her very own collection with the brand which includes regular promotion on her Instagram account to her 1.4million followers as well as attending events such as Shein's recent pop-up shop in London.
However, the star has now faced criticism from Brett and others over her decision to get involved with the controversial company.
In his rant, Brett accused the company of exploiting their supply chain and unethical mass production.

Speaking at length in the video, Brett said: “Paige from Love Island is the latest Shein ambassador. Paige Thorne is the latest in a long line of reality TV stars to partner with fast fashion, and this time it’s everyone’s least favourite: Shein."
Brett went on to claim: “Shein are renowned for the exploitation of people in the supply chain, massive overproduction and incredible churn of products and Uyghur labour.
"Shein has been ramping up their activation's in Britain and this collaboration forms part of that."
He then blasted Paige for signing a deal with the company and questioned whether it had always been her intention to work with the brand or if her decision was motivated by money.
Brett said: “I for one think working for Shein is an awful career move, and I’d look at Paige’s management for giving her terrible advice.
"I don’t know if this is the direction she always wanted to go in or if the money was just too attractive to ignore."
The Sun has contacted representatives for Paige Thorne and Shein for comment.
Shein has vowed to cut production line waste in recent months as well as releasing a series of sustainability commitments to show that it takes such matters seriously.
The brand has previously said that it is committed to reducing inventory waste and making fashion accessible to all.
Paige recently celebrated the launch of her new collection at the brand's pop-up event which was attended by a number of her celebrity pals.
Speaking at the time, the star said: "The day has finally come. I'm thrilled to announce my collaboration with SHEIN is LIVE NOW!"
Her post came under fire from her followers as one said to her: "It's never too late to end this contract and use your platform to raise awareness about Shein's exploitation of their garment workers!"
As someone else wrote: "Sad to see such little morals when choosing a brand to collab with. So many ethical brands to work with instead!"
