But one groom admits they “don’t actually get a single say” where their weddings are concerned.

The show premise sees each couple getting married, typically in a stunning ceremony, with each wedding differing.

And 2023 star Georges, 30, says they’re given a booklet beforehand so that they can choose various details for their big day – but it’s “never taken into consideration.”

He told us: “We get given a booklet and themes and colours and all of that kind of thing and I actually got told that it’s only given to us to make us think that we’re in control. We don’t actually get a single say.

“I actually put on my form whatever my bride wants – it says at the bottom any special requests so that’s what I put.”

Georges said he and wife Peggy made certain requests ahead of their wedding that they were then not granted.

He continued: “We both asked for disposable cameras and there weren’t any and we both asked for similar colour schemes but the only thing you get is the ring and you choose the outfit.

“You get this form you fill out and they say they’ll do their best to get it but none of the cast got what they wanted. I was told you’re given it to make you feel like you’re in control.”

Georges also said the wedding ceremonies are “quick” and didn’t give him much time to get to know his bride Peggy’s family.

He continued: “We went in and it’s very in and out. We did a few toasts and speeches and then we did a dance and then it’s over so we didn’t have much time.

“And the grooms get rubbish rooms compared to the brides. My room was like an eighth of what Peggy’s was. Exactly how it should be though I guess.”

Georges isn’t the first MAFS UK star to share behind-the-scenes wedding details.

Alexis Economou, who rose to fame on the show in 2022, explained that future brides and grooms are sent “six options” for details like flower arrangements, table colours and decor.

Both of the singletons’ selections are then combined for their big day.

Alexis says the wedding day felt “more like a movie” because of the extensive filming schedule.

She explained that the vows, entering the church and leaving were all filmed multiple times.

Not only that, shortly after saying ‘I do’, the husband and groom are immediately separated for interviews.

Alexis believes this is to ensure the “first conversations” are caught on camera and for viewers to get their “first reactions” before getting to know the person.
