BBC Breakfast’s Jon Kay warns Sally Nugent ‘you’ll get in trouble!’ after VERY cheeky request for guest

BBC Breakfast’s Jon Kay warned co-presenter ‘You’ll get into trouble’ over a playful cheeky remark she made to a legendary football Icon.

Legend Alan Shearer was blind-sighted and left crying tears of laughter after appearing on the BBC news programme. 

Jon Kay and Sally Nugent returned to presenting BBC Breakfast‘s morning segment on Wednesday.

While hosting, the duo welcomed one of the best strikers in the world on the big red sofa after BBC sports broadcaster John Watson had been interviewing from the show’s sofa while seated next to the hosts.

John discussed Newcastle’s football victory with the former Newcastle star, which has seen the team make significant movements and play home matches, causing celebrations around the city.

After John had concluded his questions with Alan, presenter Jon asked the icon: “Have you got any rituals you go through before a game like this, any lucky pants?”

The 53-year-old shook his head to say no and replied: “Nothing like that, Jon, no, unfortunately.”

Alan laughed at the question and quickly added: “Why would I tell you, anyway?” 

The group chuckled along as Jon concluded the questioning and said: “We’ll let you go and get changed.

“Alan Shearer, thank you very much indeed.”

The sports correspondent echoed: “Thanks, Alan, great to speak to you.”

Sally couldn’t help but cheekily add: “Yeah, send us a photo of the lucky pants.”

Jon fired back at his co-star with a quick response of “No!” while everyone else on set, including Alan, was still chuckling away.

He swiftly turned the attention back to the viewers and explained: “Right, it’s coming up to ten to nine.” 

Turning to Sally, he jokily warned her: “You’ll get into trouble for that!”

Jon then gave the floor to BBC’s meteorologist Carol Kirkwood and said: “Carol has got the weather for us this morning.”

Carol had been left amused by the interaction between the trio and Alan, as Jon expressed: “That made you smile! Morning.”

Beaming at the screen, Carol replied and confirmed: “It certainly did. Good morning.” before she updated viewers on the latest weather forecast.
