not very whitty

This Morning’s Alison Hammond and Josie Gibson slammed for ‘inappropriate’ question to Sir Chris Whitty

THIS Morning hosts Alison Hammond and Josie Gibson have come under fire for making a mockery of their interview with Sir Chris Whitty.

The presenters were joined by England’s Chief Medical Officer to discuss the plan to increase the legal smoking age annually – but things quickly descended into chaos.

Fans were gobsmacked by Alison and Josie’s interview

Sir Chris was baffled by the line of questioning

Alison fell about laughing as Josie quizzed him on Naked Attraction

Alison and Josie were keen to question him about if he would do reality TV like Matt Hancock, but left Whitty and those watching at home horrified as they asked if he wanted to do Naked Attraction.

Naked Attraction sees romantic hopefuls stripping down for the camera and looking at each other’s bodies in a bid to find ‘the one’.

Taking to Twitter to complain, one person wrote: “These 2 acting like giggling school girls, asking if chris whitty would copy hancock doing tv shows, even suggesting naked attraction, really?no wonder he looked uncomfortable, lets hope they dont get to interview anyone about a serious matter..oh wait.”

A second added: “So embarrassing, This Morning is going downhill . So immature and disrespectful. I couldn’t believe that they said that to Chris Whitty. This Morning you’ve got to do something about that , other presenters wouldn’t do that.”

While a third remarked: “What are you girls thinking asking Sir Chris Whitty ridiculous questions on appearing on shows particularly Naked Attraction really??? Read the person!!”

And a fourth said: “#ThisMorning his name is chief whitty and not chief willy really asking if he would go on naked attraction the show is toxic without that remark. Making a fool of the guy.”

The presenters left the professor red faced as they showed him merchandise with is face on it.

And things got even more excruciating when Alison asked he would follow in Hancocks footsteps and do SAS or ‘maybe Strictly Come Dancing’.

He replied: “If I am at one end of enjoying publicity, Mr Hancock is at the other end.”

Josie then said: “Naked Attraction, the jungle?”

As they fell about laughing, an embarrassed Chris replied: “Not for me, that’s for sure.”

And as the interview came to an end, Josie told him: “You are actually very sweet.”
