It’s safe to say that there has never been a dull moment with this character.
Alison, on the other hand, lives a more low-key, comfortable, and normal life than Carla on the Cobbles.

The 50-year-old has dated a handful of her soap co-stars, some younger, some older, and even came close to walking down the aisle before calling it off.
So let’s start from the beginning, all the way back to when Alison was 18 and she worked in a surf shack.
Shortly after that she worked as a dental nurse for four years before studying at North Cheshire Theatre School when she was 22 years old.

The pair broke up in 2016 and never made it down the aisle.
Alison later married Corrie co-star Philip Middlemiss, who played Des Barnes, after a five-year relationship.
Alison was spotted in November 2018 with a new "mystery man," who she eventually identified as David Stuckley, an IT expert who was nine years younger than she was. A year later, they announced their engagement in OK! magazine.
