BBC presenter Victoria Coren Mitchell slammed by furious fans over ‘insensitive’ post ahead of new Jimmy Savile drama
BBC star Victoria Coren Mitchell has come under fire over her latest post which has left fans branding her 'insensitive'.
The leading lady of Only Connect has been met with fury over her latest Tweet which made reference to the BBC's upcoming controversial Jimmy Savile drama The Reckoning.
Victoria, 51, appeared to make light of Jimmy and his hideous crimes in her message which has left a sour taste in her followers mouths.
Taking to X - formerly Twitter - Victoria went to plug her own TV endeavours when she made her comment.
She wrote: "Ooh, I see that new Jimmy Savile/Steve Coogan biopic is on tonight.
"If you can cope with watching a presenter who makes your flesh creep, I might also suggest Only Connect at 8pm on BBC Two and Have I Got A Bit More News For You at 10.40pm on BBC One."

It left her fans aghast that she appeared to be poking fun at the serious situation in order to drum up interest in her own TV shows.
Hitting out at the star and her 'insensitivity', one fan said: "No, don't think that's a good joke to use in public - a bit insensitive. Between you and David [her husband], maybe."
Another disgruntled fan added: "Victoria I watch you every week, I think you are a great presenter but for the sake of Savile's victims I find this post a little off..."
A third hit out, writing: "A bit insensitive to Savile's victims this tweet I think."

While another was left enraged at her 'sick' promotional tactic, penning: "What a strange, perverse and sick way of promoting your own show?"
Steve Coogan will star as the disgraced DJ and TV star in the four-part series which is set to highlight his dark crimes.
The series explores how Savile used his celebrity and powerful connections to conceal his crimes and exploit institutional failings.
The Reckoning looks at how he was able to hide in plain sight and evade justice.
