Ralf Little, who plays DI Neville Parker, has revealed a Death in Paradise has revealed a secret of the BBC show's set.

While walking down the sunny Caribbean beach and on Instagram live, which he later turned into a reel, the actor participated in a live Q&A.

Before answering his questions, Ralf confirmed that October 27 will be the last day of filming for the upcoming series.

During his Q&A, a fan asked him whether The Shack (where the current Detective Inspector lives) is a permanent installation that fans can visit all year round.

Ralf replied: "No, it's not a permanent structure."

"We build it every year and then take it down again when it's finished. So, if you do want to see it and see us here, you need to come to Guadeloupe between May to end of October sort of time.

"And it is hot, I have to warn you."

"So the shack is up from May-ish to October.

"Then it gets taken down, which is funny as it takes a lot of effort to put it up and take it down every year, but like I say, it's not a permanent structure."

The 43-year-old regularly updates his 176k followers with many behind-the-scenes photos and videos posts.

He previously revealed that one of the best perks of filming in the Caribbean, apart from the amazing hot weather, is the snacks, which included fresh coconuts.

Most recently, he teased what series 13, which is likely to air in January following the Christmas special, will be like.

He said: "More of the same, the stuff that we know and love. We're going to try and pick it up with the tone [from] at the end of last year," he said.

"We really tried to push the boat out with series 12.

"Not just a mystery every week, solving the mystery and moving on, but in the course of a series really trying to find challenges for the main characters...

"There's going to be more challenges [ahead] for the characters."

Death in Paradise and its spin-off, Beyond Paradise, are available on BBC One and stream on BBC iPlayer.
