AJ Odudu reveals why she’s ruled herself out of This Morning after being tipped to replace Holly Willoughby
PARTY girl AJ Odudu has ruled herself out of replacing Holly Willoughby on This Morning – admitting that she couldn’t handle the early starts.
The presenter, who is currently hosting Big Brother, had yet another late night on Tuesday when she attended the Glamour Women of the Year Awards alongside fellow stars including model Leomie Anderson, who dazzled in a silver minidress.
Quizzed on whether she would be tempted to go for the job on ITV’s This Morning, AJ revealed: “I couldn’t cope with the early starts. I don’t do mornings.”
Referring to the show’s existing roster of presenters, she added: “They have to be there at, like, 8am.
“I’m a night owl. But of course the idea is flattering.”
AJ, who competed on Strictly in 2021, also insisted that, despite her high-profile telly roles, she often dodges attention on the social scene – until she speaks in her distinctive northern accent.

The Blackburn-born star said: “I think, because I live in London, everyone is quite used to seeing people and no one really gives me much notice.
“It’s only when I open my mouth, and they hear my voice that I seem to get recognised.
“I think I got more attention when I was out and about when I was doing Strictly.”
Lottie Moss, Hannah Waddingham, Jess Glynne, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Emily Atack were among other celebs spotted leaving One Marylebone following the bash on Tuesday evening, hopping into cabs with their goody bags.

Miriam has cow ‘heart’
MIRIAM MARGOLYES has had heart surgery – with part of a cow replacing one of her organ’s valves.
The actress told in May how she would need to go under the knife and now she has confirmed the operation was a success.
During an appearance on Jessie Ware's Table Manners podcast, she said: “I’ve got a cow’s heart now. Well, not the whole heart. I’ve had an aortic valve replaced by a cow’s aortic valve.
“I’d never heard of that operation. But it saves you from having open heart surgery, which would be infinitely more invasive.”
Quizzed on the procedure, she explained: “They made two little holes in your groin and shoved this thing through.
“They pull it up and, when it’s in your heart, they pull a little string and it goes ‘pow!’ ”
Lucky for Offset
OFFSET has lifted the lid on his six-year marriage to Cardi B and admitted he was lucky to be given a second chance after cheating on her.
The rapper said: “Luckily I have a very loyal one and I don’t want to lose her.
“I don’t want to ever take myself away from them [family] because of my dumb*ss decisions. “Some of the hardest s**t I went through was my kids asking why. That s**t hurts you. I was selfish.”
The WAP singer has dealt with her fair share of abuse online after sticking by her man.
On the Call Me Daddy podcast, Offset said: “There’s a hate train of people that don’t like my wife and it doesn’t just affect one person, it affects the family.
“But we’ve got to the point where we’re like, f*k y’all.”
MARK: I FEARED AXE
THEY are one of the biggest boy bands to come out of the Nineties, with 12 No1 singles and eight No1 albums under their belts.
But Mark Owen has revealed their first gig, at Flicks Nightclub in Huddersfield, was such a disaster he thought he was going to get the boot.
Mark explained: “I had one cue I had to do and I missed it and I remember being in the dressing room and thinking, ‘This is me out of the band’.”
Gary Barlow added: “I remember taking a bow and thinking, ‘We were absolutely s**t’.
“It was a terrible gig, there were about seven people in there. The music was too loud, the voices weren’t loud enough.
“We were all miserable after that.” Speaking on the first episode of their podcast, Take That: This Life, Mark said he was offered a lifeline by his then boss at Barclays, who doubted he’d be able to hit the big time.
Mark said: “We were told we had to give up our day jobs. I remember my manager saying, ‘If it doesn’t work out you can always come back’.”
Mark also said he had never tried posh water before joining the band aged 18.

He said: “I drank water for the first time ever because you [Gary] and Jason [Orange] were drinking Perrier and I thought, ‘They’re drinking it. It must be good’.”
Who knows if Mark would be alive now if it wasn’t for them.
