Shirley Ballas’ incredible pay cheque revealed as Strictly Come Dancing judge rakes in eye-watering six-figure sum

SHIRLEY Ballas has earned a huge six-figure sum thanks to her work on Strictly Come Dancing.

The head judge - who joined the show in 2017 replacing Len Goodman - has coined it in over the past 12 months.

New figures filed with Companies House reveal she has notched up £712,004 in profits at Dance With Passion, the private firm into which she channels her earnings.

The firm had £802,521 in its coffers as of March 31, with the large cash sum offset by £90,617 worth of bills.

Its debts, all due within the year, include £72,083 in corporation tax as well as £14,991 in other taxation and social security – most likely comprising taxes on her wages.

After allowing for these bills, Shirley, 62, retained £712,004 in business profits.

The accumulated earnings include £201,391 made this year, £237,913 made in 2022, £135,284 made in 2021 and £37,416 made in 2020; it’s first year of trading.

It's a silver lining of sorts for the esteemed dancer who has been subjected to horrendous trolling since taking on the role.

The star recently revealed the increasingly violent and sexual messages have left her constantly on guard.

And she can never relax for fear the trolls are “lurking in dark corners or hiding behind walls”.

Scared Strictly star Shirley said trolls have launched increasingly vicious attacks on her, revealing: “I’ve had people draw coffins with me in it with somebody with a spade that said, ‘Die you bitch’.”

The head judge has previously considered quitting the BBC1 show over abuse she’s received in the past six years.

But only now has she shared the vile details of the messages she said have changed her life, and left her afraid to leave the house.

She said: “It’s when it is personal about myself and my family and it affects my mental health. I am not just talking about your phone.

“I am talking about being in public. You worry about those same strange people that write these kinds of messages.

"Are they lurking in dark corners? Are they hiding behind walls when you go somewhere?”
