THE Crown fans have slammed a 'tacky' and 'ridiculous' Princess Diana ghost scene after watching the trailer for season six.
The Netflix drama has got everyone talking once again.
Earlier this week it was revealed when the sixth and final series of The Crown will premiere on the streaming service.
Series 6's trailer dropped, and fans had a lot to say.
The episodes will explore key events from the '90s and early 2000s, such as Tony Blair's rise to power and Princess Diana's tragic passing.
It was reported earlier this year that the show's creators had made the controversial decision to display "distressing" reenactments of the Princess of Wales' August 1997 car tragedy in Paris.

However, from the trailer, the late Royal appears as a ghost.
Many ripped into the scene and dubbed it "tacky" and "disrespectful".
Taking to X/Twitter, one fan wrote: "Oh this is just so damn tacky, tacky & disrespectful. Never watched this series & the 'ghost of Diana' certainly wouldn't tempt me to start now."
A second added: "The ghost of Diana makes an appearance."

A third penned: "Not sure about Diana being a ghost."
A fourth complained: "Why do they have to make it so complicated!"
A fifth wrote: "Season 6 of The Crown feels weird to me, Diana is a ghost. Strange."
Fans weren't the only ones unimpressed by the trailer.
A royal expert said the concept of Princess Diana's ghost was "tacky".
Richard Fitzwilliams told : "Peter Morgan [the creator] is a skilled dramatist and knows how tacky the idea of Diana’s ghost is.
"He calls her somewhat unorthodox appearances as a ghost giving her 'special treatment narratively'."
