Love Island’s Davide finally breaks silence on rekindled romance with Ekin-Su and reveals ‘real’ reason for split
LOVE Island star Davide Sanclimenti has finally broken his silence after he rekindled his romance with Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu.
Davide, 28, has revealed that he and Ekin-Su split after they failed to see eye-to-eye on a number of issues, admitting that they previously struggled with their communication.
The Italian hunk admitted that he and Ekin-Su never fully broke up and that the temporary separation was needed to help strengthen their relationship.
Speaking exclusively to The Sun, Davide said: "It's a lovely feeling being with Ekin, we probably broke up more publicly but never privately because we have always been in touch and the love between me and Ekin have always been there.
"Breaking up may happen to people but it never actually happened to us.
"We never properly privately broke up, it was more to do with the public pressure and we were having some tough months.

"It was a bit of pressure on both sides."
The pair were back in July in the same cab but decided to keep their romance under wraps at the time.
When asked why they wanted to keep their rekindled romance on the down-low, Davide explained that there were things in their relationship that they needed to work on before going public again.
He told us at the launch of his Sci-Mx lauch party: "Of course there were some things that both of us wanted to work on.

"Nor me nor Ekin were perfect in the relationship and probably needed to have a bit more communication and now I don't regret nothing that happened because I feel stronger and I feel we understand each other.
"I feel like she's a lot more nice to me in certain situations and understands me more and at the same time I try to put myself in her shoes in certain situations.
"There is more of an understanding with each other.
"I guess it has made us stronger and everything happens for a reason."
The couple were forced to give up their home and move out after splitting earlier this year.
Davide has now revealed that he and Ekin-Su plan to move back in together after giving their romance another go.
He said: "We are planning on moving back in together.
"We feel comfortable in the situation because it's like we have two houses.
"Whenever we are in Manchester, she is in Manchester with me and whenever we are down in Essex, we are in Essex together.
"It very rarely happens that I am in Manchester and she is in Essex."
Davide's mum looked proud of her son last night as she supported her son at his protein launch event, alongside his girlfriend Ekin-Su, who stunned in a black figure-hugging dress.
Speaking about his mum's relationship with Ekin-Su since getting back together, Davide said: "My mum from Italy is here today - my mum likes Ekin.
"As a mum she never says 'Oh Davide your wrong' or 'Ekin is a bad girl', all she tries to do these past months is let her understand my position and let me understand Ekin's position.
"But it's a fact that my mum wants to see us together and wants us to get married."
Davide admitted that he has learnt from his mistakes and promises that he and Ekin-Su will not be making the same "errors".
"The next step is to chill and see how it goes, be understanding to each other and don't do the same error that we did last year.
"It's been an amazing year - we've loved every experience that we've had but we also had some difficult moments because of public pressure."
Earlier this year, Davide was accused of cheating with model Harriet Wilson - with him later insisting the pair were "just friends".
Just weeks later they sparked rumours they were back on following a romantic holiday together but later refused to confirm they were in a relationship again.
They were asked to clarify their relationship status while attending the National Television Awards in September.
Chatting on the red carpet, Ekin and Davide were asked: "Are you together?"

Davide replied: "We're just enjoying each other's company."
Ekin added: "Leave it to the imagination. You can label it whatever you want to label it but we are enjoying each other's company and we're very happy."
