Strictly Come Dancing confirm that Adam Thomas WILL perform tonight after illness caused backstage panic
ADAM Thomas WILL perform on tonight's live episode of Strictly Come Dancing, BBC bosses have confirmed.
There was a backstage panic after the Emmerdale star pulled out of an appearance on It Takes Two last night following an illness.
A spokesperson for the hit BBC show confirmed to The Sun exclusively: "Adam is feeling much better and will be performing tonight."
The Sun understands that Adam is at the show's Elstree studios preparing for tonight's Halloween show.
He and partner Luba Mushtuk will perform an American Foxtrot with a spooky twist.
Earlier today, Adam's wife Caroline revealed she was heading to watch his rehearsals along with their kids ahead of the live show.

Caroline shared a snap on instagram of her with their children Teddy and Elsie-Rose captioned: "SCD week 6 rehearsals here we come."
Adam shared the post to his own socials.
It comes as the BBC confirmed there was an emergency back-up plan in place as Adam's role on tonight's show hung in the balance this morning.
A spokesperson originally said: “We are hopeful Adam will be better and able to perform this weekend. There are contingencies in place should he not be able to. The health and well-being of the Strictly cast and crew is production’s absolute priority.”
Concerns were sparked last night when his pro partner Luba Mushtuk was forced to appear on It Takes Two on her own.
It was the second time in two weeks that Adam has fallen sick.
"He is resting now," said Luba. "He didn't feel very well."
The previous week Adam was forced to miss rehearsals after struggling with illness as a winter flu bug hit the cast.
Adam also suffers from the autoimmune condition rheumatoid arthritis.
Just days after he was confirmed to be joining the BBC show, Adam shared an emotional post about his condition back in August.
Adam explained: "I’ve been in a lot of pain since January, it started with my knees and then traveled to my wrists, fingers and now ankles and toes.
"I never knew what was happening and finally after several blood tests and back and forth to doctors and hospitals, I’ve been diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis!
"I thought that was something people, later on in there life get… but that’s not the case, clearly!"
Adam went on to explain that his diagnosis has had an affect on both himself and his family.
"It’s been a tough old year but …," he continued. "Finally I’m on the right plan now! Finally getting it under control. For now!
"But some days are better than others and am not going to lie, it’s been hard not being able to train properly, it’s has had a huge knock on effect for me personally, but not only that for my family too!!
