It's presented by Strictly Come Dancing's Claudia Winkleman and set at Ardross Castle in Scotland.

22 contestants from all walks of life take part in the show and live at the castle.

But a small group are secretly selected by Claudia to be "traitors", after which the remaining "faithfuls" get eliminated by being "murdered" by the traitors.

And fans don't have long to wait until the highly anticipated second series kicks off.

Just before Strictly kicked off on Saturday night Claudia, 51, appeared on screen.

She could be seen wearing one of the show's iconic cloaks as she put her finger to her lips and shushed viewers.

As of yet no launch date has been announced, but The Traitors is due to air in November.

The five-second trailer ended as the Beeb said the show was 'coming soon'.

Fans have been left ecstatic by the news and took to social media to share their excitement.

One viewer said: "It's happening everybody, stay calm!"

A second wrote: "Honestly, my whole year has been building to this. Can't wait."

"Ah omg! A sneaky trailer for The Traitors," said a third fan.

While a fourth commented: "I may have squealed. Beyond excited!"
