MARRIED At First Sight star Sean Malkin quit the show after tonight's explosive dinner party - which left his husband Mark Kiley in tears.

The store manager, 31, decided to finally end things with his on-screen hubby after thinking about his decision for a few days.

Last night fans of the E4 show predicted a huge relationship U-turn after a clip of Mark in tears was teased at the end of the episode.

And unfortunately that was confirmed during this evening's instalment of MAFS.

Initially Mark made it clear that Sean was not his usual type when they tied the knot just seconds after meeting.

But as time went on, it was actually Sean started to second guess their relationship.

Tonight saw the couples read out letters from others around the table - and whoever wrote it said that they worry "they appear to be just friends".

They also said that they don't think that they are compatible.

After Sean read it out, Mark avoided what was written and said: "Next. We don't need to disect that."

Talking to camera Sean said: "You know it was a really tough letter to read because it was true.

"It just gives us some clarity on how I've been thinking.

"I'm pretty sure on what I'm going to do after this letter."

He then grabbed Mark for a chat away from the dinner table.

Sean said: "I need to be true to myself in this one. After that letter as well. I don't think this is going any further...

"I'm going to leave."

He added: "It's sh**. I don't want to do this. I don't want to hurt you."

Mark replied: "Thing is, you keep saying you don't want to hurt me. When I told you my vows you said you'd never hurt me.

"What do you think you're doing now?"

Sean asked: "What am I doing?"

Mark said: "You're hurting me.... a lot. I was convinced it's been good, he'll stay. He'll work at it."

"I'm sorry for it," Sean said to his husband.

Mark snapped back: "You're not" as he burst into tears.

While watching the chat, expert Paul Carrick Brunson said: "That is one of the most difficult conversations we have seen so far in the experiment.

"I think we have to applaud Sean that he was finally able to tell Mark exactly how he felt."

Sean and Mark returned to the dinner table and announced the devastating news.

"You all know it's been a very tough week for the pair of us," Sean said to the group.

"I think you had all seen what had happened at the commitment ceremony last week, and I'm sorry, I'm sorry that you're the collateral damage of that, I love you all, you're all f***ing amazing people.

"But unfortunately I made the decision to leave. I do love you all."

While hugging Ella Morgan in tears, Mark said: "I tried. I tried."

Speaking to camera Mark added: "I'm devastated.
