Till Murder Do Us Part: Who is Elizabeth Haysom and where is she now?
THE murders of Derek and Nancy Haysom are the latest killings to be explored by Netflix in a new documentary series.
Till Murder Do Us Part details the grisly deaths of the married couple and the part their own daughter played in their demise.
Who is Elizabeth Haysom?
Elizabeth Haysom is a former student who was jailed for her part in the murder of her parents.
She is one of a combined five children that the late Derek William Reginald Haysom, a steel executive, and Nancy Astor Benedict Haysom, an artist, had.
Some of Elizabeth's siblings came from her parents' previous relationships.
Elizabeth was born on April 15, 1964, and attended the University of Virginia.

As a child, Elizabeth attended boarding schools in Switzerland and England.
As is shown in the Netflix documentary, the bodies of Elizabeth's parents were found on the morning of April 3, 1985, at their home in Virginia.
They had both been stabbed and were almost decapitated.
The bodies were not discovered until days after Reginald, who was 72 at the time, and Nancy, who was 53, had died.

Who is Jens Soering?
Jens Soering was the boyfriend of Elizabeth Haysom at the time her parents were killed.
had met while they were both students at the University of Virginia.
Prior to living in the US, Soering lived in Bangkok, Thailand, where he was born in 1966.
He moved to the States in 1977 and graduated from The Lovett School in Atlanta, Georgia, in 1984.
Soering was convicted of murdering Derek and Nancy Haysom in 1990 and reportedly confessed to the double murder several times.
He then pleaded not guilty, however, claiming he had made a false confession to protect Haysom.
Soering was tried for two counts of first-degree murder and sentenced to two consecutive life sentences.
What was Elizabeth Haysom convicted of?
Haysom was sentenced to 90 years in prison after pleading guilty to two counts of accessory to murder.
She received one 45-year sentence for each murder, to be served consecutively.
Haysom and Soering were not initially suspects in the murders of Elizabeth's parents but after police turned their attentions towards them the couple fled the country and were eventually arrested in England.
Haysom testified against Soering in court, saying she manipulated her boyfriend to kill her parents because they wanted her to break up with him.
Soering, meanwhile, insists Haysom carried out the killings herself and only told him what happened after her parents were murdered.
Where is Elizabeth Haysom now?
In November 2019 Elizabeth Hayson and Jens Soering were both paroled.
Neither were pardoned for the crimes, though Soering has maintained his innocence.
Haysom was was deported to Canada in 2020 after being released from prison into the custody of the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
According to , board chair Adrianne Bennett said in a statement at the time: "The parole board has determined that releasing Jens Soering and Elizabeth Haysom...is appropriate because of their youth at the time of the offences, their institutional adjustment and the length of their incarceration.
"The release and permanent expulsion from the United States is an enormous cost-benefit to the taxpayers of the Commonwealth of Virginia and we have determined that their release does not pose a public safety risk to the community."
Haysom is unable to have contact with her former partner Soering, who was deported to Germany and banned from reentering the US, as his parole means he is banned from contacting the family of his victims.

While Soering appears in the Netflix documentary about the Haysoms' deaths, Elizabeth has not been seen publicly since her release from prison.
