Elizbeth bravely shared her story with Su2C

The likes of Nicole Scherzinger, Stephen Graham and Harry Hill appeared on the special tonight.

The celebrities watched a touching story about a young girl called Elizabeth who had cancer four times.

Elizabeth was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer when a tumour was found around the tissue of her eye when she was just three.

She had her eye removed in 2020, but unfortunately the disease returned.

While she was having treatment her mum Charlotte was told she had breast cancer, and tragically passed away from the illness last year.

Elizabeth was unable to finish filming the short piece as she sadly died before it was complete.

Despite everything she went through, Elizabeth had such a positive outlook on life.

“If you want to live a happy life, you’ve just got to treck on the path that it’s decided to give you, ” she told the camera.

Stephen Graham couldn’t contain his emotions as he watched on.

Jennifer Saunders and Beatie Edmondson fought back the tears as they found out the heartbreaking news.

The regular cast members – Peter Sandiford and Julie Malone – also burst into tears.

Those watching at home were left feeling very emotional after learning about Elizabeth’s story.

One said on X: “Sat here in bits and giving Henry an extra big cuddle while watching Elizabeth’s story on stand up to cancer! Heartbreaking, that poor little girl and her family!”

Another wrote: “Bloody hell. I’m a mess after watching the story of Elizabeth & her mum.”

A third added: “What an incredible young girl! RIP Elizabeth Rooney.”
