Huge pop star suffers blow as bosses shelve massive TV show after just one series
HE’S riding high with a brand new album, sell-out autobiography - and a profitable pub business to toast his success in.
But ironically there’s one blip in James Blunt’s current run of success as The Sun can reveal Prime Video has quietly shelved his Beer Masters series.
It marked the crooner’s first foray into TV work and saw him take on the burgeoning world of home brewing.
James and beer expert Jaega Wise were helped by a bevy of celebrity judges - including the likes of Daisy Lowe - in a search for Europe’s best backyard beermaker.
He even offered to stock the winning beer in his West London boozer, The Fox and Pheasant.
But sadly the final blend didn’t seem to pop Prime Video bosses’ corks as the series has not been commissioned for a second run.

A source said: “Beer Masters had all the ingredients to become a long-runner for Prime Video and it went down well with punters.
“But sometimes these limited series don’t suit ongoing commercial strategies, it’s not just about ratings.”
The show roped in huge brands like Stella Artois, Leffe and Camden Town Brewery.
When the show first launched, James told The Sun: “When I was offered the job I thought I had died and gone to heaven.
“I understood they needed someone good looking, bright and knew their s**t about beer . . . and that’s why they’ve got Jaega.
“Then they thought, ‘We need a sidekick’.
“Jeremy Clarkson wasn’t available, so they got me.”
Hopefully Amazon has only put this show on ice for now.
