The professional dancer looked "devastated" by the result, leading some viewers to believe she knew it was her final show.

Another added: "Is it me, or did Luba look devastated when they were voted off?"

Someone else wrote: "I didn't know Luba before this year and I really like her.

"She took her role so seriously but with light heartedness. I think she and Adam worked very well together and she really worked hard to get him to improve. Hope she gets a contestant next year too!"

A viewer added: "Ahh i'm so sad Adam and Luba couldn't make it to blackpool,"

"Another wrote: "I enjoyed watching them every week and i loved their waltz and jive. Luba has done amazing, never bench her again!!"

Sunday's dance off was labelled "the closest yet" after Adam joked he was in the bottom two because viewers "wanted to see his dance again".

Adam, who has rheumatoid arthritis, made a number of errors in his final dance which saw the judges vote to unanimously save TV presenter Angela, 79.
