Who is Danny Beard?

DANNY Beard shot to fame on Britain's Got Talent in 2016, before going on to win the fourth series of RuPaul's Drag Race.
Now Danny, one of the UK's leading drag acts, is taking on a new challenge in the Celebrity Big Brother house.
Danny Beard — who goes by Daniel Curtis away from the stage — is part of ITV’s star-studded line-up for Celebrity Big Brother 2025.
The drag legend is already known to viewers of the reality show, having been a panelist on Big Brother spin-off show Late and Live.
A source said: “Danny is hilarious and witty yet also great to be around.
"They’re going to make a great housemate for viewers and the other celebs alike.”
Daniel Curtis, aka Danny Beard, was born in Liverpool on May 27, 1992.
Before becoming a household name, they won Drag Idol UK in 2015.
The following year the drag performer and singer shot to fame by reaching the semi-finals of Britain's Got Talent.
Since then they have become a familiar face on TV, including appearing on Karaoke Club: Drag Edition in 2021, ultimately finishing in fourth place overall.
Danny has also forged a comedy career — in November 2023, they took part in Channel 4's Comedy Roast, which was in aid of Stand Up To Cancer.
The popular star also thrilled fans when they appeared on Hollyoaks in March 2023.
And in January 2024, Danny was a guest on the BBC's The Traitors: Uncloaked.
Speaking about their plans for the future, Danny told Gay Times: "I would love to work in TV.
"I would love to host television, I’d love my show eventually.
"I’d like to crack TV presenting and I think I can do it.

"It’s always been a dream, so let’s see if we can do it."
Danny won the fourth series of RuPaul's Drag Race UK in 2022.
They were the sixth bearded act ever to take part in the Drag Race franchise and the first to appear on one judged by RuPaul.
During their run, they won four main challenges, becoming the fourth contestant in the show's history to do so, and made it to the finale without ever being up for elimination.
On November 2022, Danny was announced as the winner of the show.
Speaking to Gay Times about being the first act on RuPaul's Drag Race UK to win with a beard, they said: "Listen, I’m not the best bearded queen in the world.
"It’s quite subtle until you get close and you notice it, and that’s my thing. I like that.
"But, there’s so many different kinds of drag. It’s not just about gay men in dresses, and it shouldn’t be.
"Drag is about being anything you wanna be. It should be open to anyone."
Before finding international fame on RuPaul's Drag Race, Danny first hit the spotlight when they appeared on Britain's Got Talent in 2016.
During their first audition they had their beard painted with golden glitter and wore a matching sequinned skirt.
Taking to the stage they performed a rendition of Sweet Transvestite from the hit musical The Rocky Horror Picture Show.
The performance immediately had judge Amanda Holden up on her feet.
Danny did well on the show, making it all the way to the semi-finals.
