Coronation Street star Lucy Fallon hits back after being cruelly ‘mum shamed’ over her choice of car seat
CORONATION Street star Lucy Fallon has hit back after being cruelly ‘mum shamed’ over her choice of car seat.
Lucy, 27, welcomed her first child - a son named Sonny - in January this year with her footballer boyfriend Ryan Ledson, 26.
The actress, who is best known for portraying Bethany Platt in the ITV soap, took to Instagram to plug the impressive gadget.
Lucy demonstrated using it with her baby boy as she filmed the pair heading out together for the advert.
In her caption, she wrote, "We recently picked up our new Maxi-Cosi Pearl 360 Pro car seat for our lil Sonny and we have been loving using all the special features.
"The seat has SlideTech™️ and 360 rotation making it super easy to get Sonny in and out of the car and will be perfect when he’s older and can face forward.

"I travel a lot to go and stay with my family in Blackpool so it’s so important to us to have a seat that Sonny loves and that we know he is comfortable and safe in. That’s why we love the Pearl 360 Pro seat."
Some of her followers weren't won over, however, and didn't hold back in the comments.
One said, "Personally I’d research car seat safety better and opt for a Swedish plus tested car seat which offers extending rear facing.
"You’ll probably find an average child would exceed weight limits long before it’s safe to forward face.

"You’ll find the safer car seats are actually far better value too!"
Another suggested, "Amazing to see he's still rear facing! I would possibly put the head rest up a notch."
One more joked, "All fun and games using this car seat until your a Nana who can't turn it round and have to ring your son in law to come and help you."
It comes after Corrie boss Iain MacLeod teased Lucy's fan-favourite character Bethany will be at the centre of one of the soap’s biggest upcoming storylines.
She is set to reprise her role at after years away from Weatherfield.
Speaking exclusively to The Sun, ITV soap boss Iain confirmed that after years away, Bethany will return to the cobbles and is set to be at the centre of a huge story involving her ex Daniel 0sbourne (Rob Mallard) which will air next year.
Teasing what viewers can expect from the upcoming storyline, Iain teased: “She’s coming back with this clear romantic purpose in the Daniel story but then will fairly quickly find herself in the midst of this massive story that’s going to span most of next year.
