Netflix and This Morning star confirms he turned down I’m A Celebrity despite ITV bosses ‘kind offer’
A NETFLIX and This Morning star has confirmed that he turned down the chance to appear on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here this year - despite ITV's ‘kind offer’.
Entrepreneur Dave Fishwick - who is the man behind the main character of Netflix's Bank of Dave - could have been one of the famous faces in this year's line-up.
Dave told his X followers that he couldn't take part because of his upcoming busy schedule.
Dave said: "I was kindly asked to consider participating in this year's Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here I just couldn't make it fit the diary as I had a lot of filming days & speaking events booked in Nov/Dec.
"Good luck to all the contestants. Speaking to @Nigel_Farage would have been interesting."
Many fans rushed to the post to share how much they would have loved him in the jungle.

One said: "You'd be great on there."
"No way! You would’ve won for sure!! Gutted," a second chimed in.
A third added: "I would have watched it if that had been the case!"
Burnley lad Dave left school at 16 and has gone on to become the largest supplier for minibuses in the UK.

The star also wanted to create his own bank to help the local businesses of Burnley - which was filmed on Channel 4's show Bank of Dave in 2012.
Earlier this year Netflix released their own film Bank of Dave which starred Rory Kinnear, Hugh Bonneville and Phoebe Dynevor.
Dave is also a motivational speaker.
Although the multi-millionaire won't be on the 23rd series of the ITV show, there are plenty of other celebrities who are taking part.
In the mix are JLS star Marvin Humes, politician Nigel Farage, This Morning favourite Josie Gibson, Professional boxer Tony Bellew and Britney Spears' sister Jamie-Lynn Spears.
Jockey Frankie Detorri, Hollyoaks star Nick Pickard, First Dates legend Fred Siriex and YouTuber Nella Rose are also heading Down Under for the show.
EastEnders Danielle Harold, Made In Chelsea favourite Sam Thompson and Masterchef judge Grace Dent are also part of the line-up.
I'm A Celebrity returns Sunday 19 November 2023.
