Josie Gibson reveals secrets behind her stunning I’m A Celebrity body – and why she shunned fat jabs loved by stars
THIS Morning’s Josie Gibson hired a personal trainer to get in shape ahead of her stint in I’m A Celebrity after vowing to shun fat jabs and sweat herself slim.
The daytime host, 38, has trimmed down from a size 18 to a 14 ahead of her time in the jungle, revealing it’s down to weight lifting and 5k runs with her hairdresser.
Gorgeous Josie said: “I did hire a personal trainer and we’ve been weight training.
“And then I’ve been running with my hairdresser Maurice.
“I’ve never been a runner but now I’ve been running a few 5Ks here and there.
“It’s finding the time, because I am here, there and everywhere and then I’ve got my son Reggie.

“I find it really, really hard just finding a bit of time for myself but I’ve been on top of it.”
Josie’s dedication comes after she dropped a whopping six stone in 2013 following her 2010 appearance on Big Brother.
But the rapid weight loss regime - which helped sell record-breaking numbers of her workout DVD - meant the Bristol-born presenter regained all that she’d lost.
It comes as many famous faces, including the likes of Sharon Osbourne and Jeremy Clarkson, have turned to diet management drug Ozempic as a fast track to slimming down.

Josie said: “The thing is with the fat jabs, I can understand, you know, when people get desperate and they want to do that.
“But it wouldn’t be for me, only because I don’t want to mess around with my body, I like everything natural, I always go down the natural route.
“For me, I don’t want to mess around with myself like that.
“We’re all different shapes and sizes on This Morning! And I think that’s good cos you’ve got to appeal to everybody. I think we’ve come a long way.”
Elsewhere in a moving interview before entering the ITV reality camp, Josie opened up on leaving her little boy Reggie, five, behind to take part.
The schoolboy is staying with Josie’s family initially then will be part of the group that flies out to Australia midway through the series’ run.
Josie said: “I’ve done him a lot of videos before I left and also I’ve explained everything that I possibly can to him ever since I signed up.
“So, each morning we’ve been waking up and he says ‘mummy are we going to Australia now?’ And I go ‘not yet Reg’ and he’s going ‘when are we going into the jungle?’
“So none of it has come as a shock to him, he’s got his head around it.
“When he comes over he’ll be going to wildlife sanctuaries and learning all about Australia.
“They’re gonna go and cuddle koalas and they’ll be coming into the jungle with ITV’s brilliant family and friends team.”
She added: “There’ll be plenty of cuddles when I come out and at the end of the day this will better me and Reg and it’s all going to be good.
“He’s going to be experiencing Australia while I’m going to be tucking down on mealworms.”
Describing her signing as a “pinch me” moment after an amazing year, Josie added she owed it all to little Reg.
Josie split from his dad, Terry, four months after giving birth but they remain on good terms, with the man living with the family during the pandemic.
The single mum said: “I did not come into myself until I had Reg, I found my confidence, I had a lot more respect for myself after I had Reg and I really found myself as a woman. He really gave me the confidence that I always wanted.
“A lot of people think when you have a baby, life is sort of over for you whereas mine just really began again.

“I think if somebody would have told me that I’d be presenting This Morning, on I’m a Celebrity… not even that long ago, I wouldn’t have even believed you, never ever.
“And it just goes to show, doesn’t it? Don’t ever think things are out of your reach.”
