In an interview with , shared exclusively with The Sun, Edwina said, "I've never met Josie. But she is gorgeous to look at. She's so attractive.
"We're going to see how Josie actually copes with the physical conditions of the jungle. And like everyone else, she's going to be deprived of all basic comforts of life.
"There's no coffee, there's no tea, there's no sugar and they have to cook for themselves and muck in together.

"There's no phones so she's not going to be able to put anything out to her friends or ask her mum what to do next. She's going to have to rely heavily on all the people with her.
“It's not going to be funny and every mosquito is going to remind you that you're not at home. I found that I really missed my husband when I was there. More than I was expecting to be honest.
"I had quite a tearful moment at one stage, much to my own surprise. It's because you're in a situation of deprivation.
"And you touch rock bottom occasionally, just once or twice. And I think Josie might do that.”

She said: “I did hire a personal trainer and we’ve been weight training. And then I’ve been running with my hairdresser Maurice.
“I’ve never been a runner but now I’ve been running a few 5Ks here and there.

“I find it really, really hard just finding a bit of time for myself but I’ve been on top of it.”
