Strictly Come Dancing 2023 live — Angela Scanlon eliminated from show as Bobby sails through after Jade Goody tribute
ANGELA Scanlon has become the latest celebrity to be voted off from Strictly Come Dancing after ending up in the dreaded dance off.
The star was up against Layton Williams and fans were shocked to see the actor in the dance-off.
Three of the judges voted for Layton and Nikita meaning Angela missed out on a quarter-final spot.
It comes as Bobby Brazier made it through after he paid an emotional tribute to his mum Jade Goody on Strictly Come Dancing last night and said he was "so proud of her".
TV personality Goody died when Brazier was just four years old.
He said he would "love to spend a day with her ... just to see where I get my smile from".

Angela's last dance
It's an emotional send off for the former Come Dancing host, who dances on the Blackpool stage for one last time.
The rest of the contestants soon flood the stage to embrace Angela and Kai.
Angela says goodbye
Asked about her time on the show by presenter Tess Daly, Rippon said: "I have to tell you that the last nine weeks have probably been the most terrifying, the most fantastic, the most glorious, the most joyful that I have spent for a very long time in my profession.
"I have had the time of my life, people keep making reference to the fact that I presented Come Dancing, but that was 40 years ago, that was a different time!
"He (Widdrington) wasn't even born then! But, actually, being this side of the competition, this side of the programme, has been really an eye-opener for me in so many different ways."
Dance-off results revealed
All three judges save Bobby and Dianne, so it's official: Angela and Kai have been eliminated.
"One of the most beautiful dance-offs we've had," says Motsi.
Shirley says she would've also saved Bobby and Dianne.
Angela and Kai dance with a smile
It's time for the judges to make their decision after Angela and Kai's American Smooth.
Bobby and Dianne give it their all
Another strong performance of the Jive by Bobby and Dianne.
It was good enough for a 35 yesterday.
Angela and Kai is next.
Nigel's relief
Nigel Harman, who seemed disappointed with his performance last night, thanks the fans for saving him and admits he thought he would have made the dance-off.
Instead it's Angela and Kai, who will dance the American Smooth to Tea for Two by Ella Fitzgerald.
Will the judges save Angela yet again?
The second couple in the dance-off
Angela R and Kai will join Bobby and Dianne in the dance-off.
It means Angela will face the dance-off for the third week in a row.
No real surprise there, as Angela has been lingering at the bottom for a while now.
Time for a catch-up with the judges
"I found it absolutely phenomenal," Shirley tells Claudia Winkleman of last night's show, adding that it was one of the best Blackpools she's ever sat through.
Motsi says she's "totally shocked" by Bobby being in the dance-off.
The judges add that it proves nobody is safe in the competition.
Madness performs
Before we find out who joins Bobby and Dianne in the dance-off, it's time for a performance from ska/pop band Madness.
Slightly strange choice for Blackpool week.
First couple in the dance-off
The first couple to compete in the dance-off is Bobby and Dianne.
The crowd gasps in shock.
Bobby has been a crowd favourite. Annabel, who was announced to be safe for next week, said "it was a real, real shock".
Bobby and Dianne will perform the Jive to Wake Me Up Before You Go Go by Wham!
The stars showed up in Blackpool
The recap video showed how competitive last night was.

Next we find out the first couple in the dance-off.
Harry Styles medley
Carlos and Nancy thrilled with their dance to a medley of Harry Styles songs.
The routine, choreographed by Elizabeth Honan, was a hit on social media.
"Another fantastic opening routine led by Carlos and Nancy," said one fan on X. "Loved the @Harry_Styles medley-opening number," added another.
Now for the recap montage of last night's show.
We're back in the Tower Ballroom
And we're off!
The results show opens as usual with a routine by the professional dancers.
History against Blackpool leaders
Just two dancers who came out on top at Blackpool have gone on to lift the Glitterball in 19 years of Strictly history - Jill Halfpenny in 2004, and Kelvin Fletcher in 2019.
Is this a bad omen for Layton and Ellie?
We're minutes away from the start of the results show.
Recap of last night's show
Layton Williams and Ellie Leach were joint top after last night's Blackpool special at the Tower Ballroom, with both earning 39s from the judges.
Angela Scanlon, who fans are calling a 'dark horse', wasn't far behind with her best score of the season so far.
Here's a recap of yesterday's scores:
Layton and Nikita: 39
Ellie and Vito: 39
Angela and Carlos: 38
Bobby and Dianne: 35

Who will be the eighth celebrity eliminated from Strictly?
The results from Blackpool weekend is set to be revealed, with the Sunday show starting in 20 minutes at 7.20pm on BBC One.
Going by the leaderboard and the past two weeks, Angela Rippon - who has survived two dance-offs in a row - could be in trouble again after finishing at the bottom of last night's show with 28 points.
Nigel Harman was second lowest with 31 points in what was a high scoring week - with two couples going close to perfect with 39s.
Tonight's show will feature a performance from pop band Madness.
New 'dark horse' to win Strictly after Blackpool special
Strictly fans believe Angela Scanlon has emerged as a 'dark horse' to win the competition.
Scanlon and her dance partner Carlos Gu have had their fair share of ups and downs this season, but yesterday claimed their best score yet with a 38 for their Argentine Tango.
It's left many fans on social media convinced that Scanlon could be a dark horse to lift the glitterball trophy.
"Angela S is the dark horse of this competition," said one fan on X, formerly Twitter. "That may just be angela and carlos’ best dance yet ... that was brilliant," another added.
A third tweeted: "ANGELA JUST GOT HER FIRST 10S & THEIR HIGHEST SCORE OF THE SEASON !!!!! CONGRATS MY DEAR !!!! ANGELA IS THE DARK HORSE OF THIS SEASON !!!!!!"
Layton's sexy performance hailed as 'creative genius'
Actor Layton Williams was once again almost perfect following yesterday's Blackpool special at the Tower Ballroom.
Williams and his dance partner Nikita Kuzmin's sexy pole-based Couple's Choice to Ain’t No Other Man by Christina Aguilera earned high praise from the judges - with the couple earning a score of 39 for the second week in a row.
Motsi Mabuse called the performance "epic", while Anton Du Beke said it was "incredible".
However, Craig Revel Horwood - the only judge to not give the couple a 10 - pointed out: "It's a bit of a dilemma for me because I loved it, but it wasn't entirely in sync." But he added: "You are one of the most incredible dancers I have seen on this show."
"I didn't see what you saw Craig ... pure artistic genius for me," added Shirley Ballas.
Fans furious at leaked results
Strictly fans are furious yet again after the results leaked online as the show is embroiled in a fix row.
The celebrity ballroom dancing competition airs its main episode live each Saturday night but pre-records Sunday night’s results show straight after.
This has meant that every single week the result has leaked online before fans have the chance to watch the results show - ruining the outcome for them.
The Sun will not reveal the results of the leak in an effort to preserve the surprise for fans.
However, those who have seen the spoiler have made their fury known.
Strictly 'fix' claims rage on
A Strictly 'fix' row has raged on after Anton Du Beke made a 'telling' comment about Angela Rippon.
Blackpool was a full circle moment for Angela, 79, as she used to host Come Dancing from the Tower Ballroom, but yesterday night she was dancing herself with pro partner Kai Widdrington.
However, after Angela and Kai were saved in a dance-off for two weeks in a row, some fans labelled Strictly a 'fix'.
Many felt their claims were confirmed by Anton's comment after Angela's performance.
Strictly pro tipped to replace Craig Revel Horwood next year
Strictly Come Dancing judge Craig Revel Horwood confirmed he will hang up his shoes next year.
Bets are now placed on who will replace him – and former Strictly pro Joanne Clifton has tipped Giovanni Pernice to take over the seat.
She told Betway: “Many of us would like to have a go at judging. I completely get why Anton wanted to.
“I can see Giovanni Pernice going for it in a couple of years’ time. He could definitely be a type of Bruno Tonioli on the panel as he and Anton have their show together. He has a great personality.”

Tess Daly's unbreakable marriage to ‘soul mate’ Vernon Kay
Tess Daly dazzles on our screens every Saturday and Sunday during the autumn and winter months when Strictly Come Dancing is on.
But while the 54-year-old's chemistry with her 'work wife' and good friend Claudia Winkleman on-screen is clear to see, it's her 20-year marriage to husband Vernon Kay, 49, off-screen that's really worthy of a top score of 'ten'.
What time is the Strictly results show?
Strictly returns to our screens tonight at 7.20pm on BBC One for the results show.
Angela & Kai (28 points) and Nigel & Katya (31 points) could both find themselves in the dance-off as the two lowest scoring couples.

The results show will cap off the iconic Blackpool week and determine who makes the final six.
