Taken from his record-breaking stand-up show, Armageddon, Ricky will be chatting everything from humanity, political correctness, family weddings, funerals and Artificial Intelligence.

Ricky, famed for his roles in The Office and After Life, will see his special land on the streamer on Christmas Day.

Sharing his excitement, Ricky joked: "For the next 2000 years people will remember the 25th December as the day 'Armageddon' was released on Netflix."

The show was recorded at the London Palladium earlier this year and marks Ricky's first major comedy special since last year's SuperPower special.

Ricky took the show on the road across this year which saw him sell-out 85 arena dates across the globe.

It even earned him a Guinness World Record for having the biggest ever stand-up show at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles.

His TV return comes just weeks after he revealed that he had turned down a huge new job on the box.

The actor was placed in the running to take over from Paul O'Grady on For The Love of Dogs following his tragic death earlier this year.

The funnyman was approached by execs to become the new host but has revealed he“politely” said no.

The After Life star said: “I've already politely declined I'm afraid. Nice to be asked though.”

Ricky was replying on social media to The Sun on Sunday’s exclusive story that he, Amanda Holden and Martin Clunes were being considered as Paul’s replacements.

A source told us: “It’s a heart-warming series which raised the profile of the charity and ITV plans to continue making it in Paul’s memory.”
