I’m A Celeb fans complain ‘it’s too soon’ and slam show for ‘going soft’ on stars after massive format shake-up
The shake-up has left viewers scratching their heads
I’M A Celeb fans have complained that ‘it’s too soon’ and have slammed the show for ‘going soft’ on the stars after a massive format shake-up.
The ITV show returned to our screens on Sunday with an epic line-up – and there has already been arguments, tears and a lot of screaming.
During last night’s instalment of the ITV show, viewers saw Danielle Harold, Sam Thompson, Grace Dent and Marvin Humes try and win their camp mates luxury items.
However, fans watching at home were a little confused as to why they were introduced so early on in the programme.
Many took to X to complain.
One said: “#ImACeleb isn’t it a bit too soon for their luxury items? Normally it’s at least 4 days in before they do that.”
“Luxury items 3 days in is a bit soon no? #ImACeleb,” another chimed in.
A third added: “Will not cope if these people start crying when they get their luxury items. Why are they even getting items so soon, they have only been in there 5 minutes #ImACeleb.”
A fourth wrote: “#ImACeleb I never understand why luxury items are firstly given so soon, and secondly why people would pick “lip gloss” or similar. Moisturiser I get, pillows I get, even photos. Practical or something that will boost morale.”
The foursome managed to win Danielle’s lilo, Nella Roses’ lipgloss, Nick Pickard’s cushion and Josie Gibson’s personalised pillow.
They were left a little disappointed after not being able to retrieve Jamie Lynn Spears’ as she’s been very emotional since arriving in camp.
The famous faces aren’t all allowed to bring in the same thing either.
Ahead of the 2022 series last year, executive producer Olly Nash said: “What is the most common over the years? Pillows and photos from home.
“Then you get people like Helen Flanagan who asked for fake tan and then when she got it five days in she already had a tan and she ended up with a bright orange face.
“Joey Essex brought in rubber rings to play in the pool. So some people bring in silly stuff.”
They aren’t allowed to bring in items such as books or board games.
During last night’s episode Nella and Fred Siriex were involved in a huge clash.
The First Dates star had made a comment about how “he could be her dad” during a conversation while making dinner.
Nella said in the Bush Telegraph: “I took offence to that because one of the first conversations we had together was me opening up about the fact that my dad’s passed away.
“I didn’t say anything about it last night because I was kind of just annoyed about it.”
She added: “So I slept on it and I kind of thought about it and I was just like, this is not the kind of person I want to be around.”
In the morning Fred tried to offer Nella some rice for breakfast, but she ignored him, and later told him that she didn’t want to eat any of his food or converse with him until he apologised.
Nella said: “You only get one chance to disrespect me. I accept your apology but let’s not be friends. How about that?”
Meanwhile, Nigel Farage relived his near-death plane crash hell that left him with broken bones and punctured lung.
Jamie Lynn also broke down in tears again as she threatened to quit the show.
Viewers were also left feeling very confused when the show ‘blacked out’.
