ONE Dalek burst into the BBC Breakfast studio this morning and ordered presenters Charlie Stayt and Naga Munchetty to give up the location of The Doctor.
“Where is The Doctor? Speak, locate, exterminate!” the Dalek said as it zoomed in on Charlie and Naga.
The Dalek was quickly joined by two more of its kind to kick off Doctor Who’s 60th anniversary celebrations this week. The Daleks then took over the show, announcing that it was time for the local news, travel and weather reports.
Instead of continuing to show their usual “Exterminate! Exterminate!” the Daleks were ordering the audience to obey.
“Obey! Obey! Obey the Daleks!” they yelled in unison.
As the programme cut to its regional reports, each presenter reacted to what they’d just seen, some were not impressed but others quickly came up with funny responses.

BBC Scotland presenter Sarah McMullan looked shocked at what she’d witnessed before welcoming viewers to the programme. Meanwhile, Eleanor Moritz of North West Today simply nodded in acknowledgement of the studio “invasion.”
Another newsreader quipped that they were “not scared” after seeing the Daleks.
However, some of the regional presenters offered up more entertaining responses.
“Well, you can’t say no to that and now the news from the East Midlands,” one said.

“Well, that was unusual,” noted the South Today host.
The presenter of Midlands Today was left stunned and asked: “Well, how do you follow that?”
The host of Look North today took the arrival of the Dalek’s more seriously, telling viewers “goodness, you can come out from behind the sofa now.”
The funniest response may have been the one from the Spotlight newsreader. He simply welcomed them to the BBC studio, saying: “Good morning Daleks, and good morning from Spotlight.”
Viewers at home found the scenes hilarious and took to X, formerly Twitter, to discuss them.
“Joint winners: Look North and Spotlight,” one viewer said.
While another said: “The look from the presenter on North West Today made me chuckle.”
A third pondered: “How on earth did any of them resist the urge to say ‘I for one welcome our new overlords.’”
The Doctor Who fun comes ahead of the three-part special which will begin airing on Saturday 25, November.
The BBC’s 60th anniversary Doctor Who special will see David Tennant reprise his role as the Fourteenth Doctor (formerly the Tenth Doctor) alongside his former companion Donna Noble (played Catherine Tate).
David, 52, returned to the world of Doctor Who earlier in the month when he presented an hour-long documentary special celebrating the history of the franchise.
The upcoming three-part special will lead into Sex Education star Ncuti Gatwa taking over the role at Christmas.
Speaking about what lies ahead, showrunner Russell T Davies said: “If you thought the appearance of David Tennant was a shock, we’ve got plenty more surprises on the way!
