Top Gear star breaks silence after BBC show is axed following Freddie Flintoff’s horror crash

And the star posted a picture with his co-stars on Instagram

TOP Gear presenter Chris Harris has posted a cryptic message in the wake of the BBC show being axed.

The motoring journalist has worked on the TV hit since 2016 — two years longer than co-hosts Paddy McGuinness and Freddie Flintoff.

On Wednesday — just after the axing was announced in the wake of Freddie’s horror crash last year — Chris, 48 posted a picture on Instagram of the three of them laughing in a Tesla while filming.

And he wrote: “How I’ll remember my time on Top Gear. Hundreds of hours laughing.

“There’s much to be said on how/why/what in the future.

“But for now, I’ll remember the good times.”

He then added: “Look after people and, sometimes, they’ll look after you.”

It hints at irritation over the BBC’s decision to pause the show after Freddie’s crash at Dunsfold Park Aerodrome in Surrey last December.

Insiders said cast and crew were forced to put other work on hold.

James May — ex-host with Jeremy Clarkson and Richard Hammond — this week told The Sun: “I can’t believe it’s gone forever.”

But, unlike Chris, Paddy’s reaction contained zero hints at any potential feuds, as he simply wrote on Instagram: “We were always going to be bellends but we were your bellends.

“Thanks for all the love over the years folks, it was very much appreciated.”
