Nigel Farage’s ‘secret’ French lover, 44, WILL jet to jungle to support him on I’m A Celeb, confirming 6-year romance
And a row has broken out after Nigel’s team fired off a legal letter to ITV
NIGEL Farage’s “secret girlfriend” WILL jet out to support him on I’m A Celebrity, in a move that would finally confirm their six-year relationship.
The ex-Ukip boss, 59, has been linked to French politician Laure Ferrari, 44, since 2017 but the pair have never gone public with their romance.
But The Sun can reveal that Laure is part of the friends and family group expected to fly out to Australia’s Gold Coast over the next two weeks – essentially confirming their union.
A source said: “Nigel and Laure have been linked for years, ever since she first moved into his house in Chelsea and was seen taking the bins out.
“Nigel has never confirmed the nature of their relationship and is incredibly private about his family life but there was a feeling if there was ever a time to open that door, it was now.
“It felt like a huge step for Matt Hancock to invite his controversial girlfriend Gina Coladangelo out to Oz last year but the move proved to be a PR masterclass and somewhat helped towards his redemption after their lockdown-busting affair.
“Of course plans can change but at this stage Laure is booked to fly out.”
When Laure was first pictured in February 2017 at Farage’s £4 million Georgian home, he dismissed the idea of a relationship as “crackers” as he had just announced the separation from his wife of 18 years, Kirsten.
Laure, who is 15 years Farage’s junior, met the politician ten years earlier in 2007 when she was 28 and working as a waitress in Strasbourg.
He then appointed her as a parliamentary assistant and from there she was made PR director of Farage’s parliamentary group Europe of Freedom and Direct Democracy.
In 2017 she headed up a Eurosceptic think tank which was accused of illegally diverting £400,000 of public money to UKIP – before the UK General Election and Brexit referendum.
Amid these accusations, the pair were seen enjoying a drink at a London pub together.
Farage has continually denied claims of a romantic relationship, telling one newspaper: “She is someone I have worked with and known for a long time who wanted somewhere to stay for a week that wouldn’t cost her any money.
“It’s a working relationship. You can inflate it however you want to.”
But some months later in June, grainy footage showed the Brexiteer slow dancing with Laure at a party to celebrate the one year anniversary of the historic Leave vote.
At the time an onlooker told The Sun: “There was no question that they were a couple. Laure was putting on quite a display.
“She seemed to twerk a bit and was all over Nigel. From the look on his face, he was loving every minute.”
Despite sharing his thoughts on immigration, Brexit, Boris Johnson and even throuples in the jungle, Nigel’s personal life has so far been off limits.
A representative for Nigel Farage last night declined to comment.
Meanwhile a row has broken out after Nigel’s team fired off a legal letter to ITV for showing him naked in the I’m A Celebrity shower.
They claim the numerous scenes of Farage in the nude break a supposed “indecency” clause in his contract.
Now defiant workers have laughed off the approach as bosses have continued to air a string of similar scenes.
Since the letter was lodged, footage of the politician in his underpants and in the bath have aired.
A source told The Sun: “There is no such clause. This has just riled everyone up to be honest – don’t worry, there’ll be plenty more nude Nigel to come I am sure.”
A show source added: “All the celebrities are fully briefed before they enter camp that there’s cameras everywhere, except for the dunny.”
On Saturday night’s show, footage showed Nigel in his boxers taking a wash in the sink.
Grace Dent laughed: “The worse thing is… it’s totally normal to me. I just feel like I’ve always seen Nigel Farage in his pants. I just feel like that’s always been part of my life.
“I can’t remember a time before Nigel Farage in his pants.”

FORMER boxing champ Tony Bellew said of his defeat to Oleksandr Usyk in 2018: “He didn’t knock me clean out… I get up at six but thank God the referee didn’t let me carry on because he’d have killed me.
“The referee literally saved my life. Next shot probably puts me away for good.”
