I’m A Celebrity’s ratings soar as 10m people tune in for Grace Dent exit drama
I'M A Celebrity scored a bumper 10.2million viewers for its launch episode, new data has revealed.
The huge ratings success makes it one of the most watched TV events of the year, attracting a whopping 51 percent of telly viewers on the night.
Only the King's Coronation and the final episode of this year's Happy Valley topped the jungle antics.
But it is number one when it comes to the 16-34 year old age range.
The launch episode consolidated with 2.3m viewers in that bracket, the largest of the year.
And thanks to its strong line-up and daily doses of drama in camp, it's maintained a dominant share of viewers.

Last night millions tuned in to watch Grace Dent's final episode before her shock exit.
The food critic left on medical grounds shortly after being voted to do her fourth trial.
Looking downcast, the 50-year-old was asked how she was feeling by Jamie Lynn Spears.
She replied: "I feel rancid but I'm alright, just how I always do really."
