Love Island original star Paul Danan in very surprising new career 22 years after Hollyoaks
ORIGINAL Love Island contestant Paul Danan has a new job away from the spotlight.
Paul, who revealed he was on a mission to help addicts in their recovery earlier this year, has another surprising venture.
The star, who played Sol Patrick in Hollyoaks from 1997 to 2001, featured on the very first Celebrity Love Island in 2005 but has spent most of his life battling addiction.
Now, Paul is expressing one of his many talents and is managing a spoken-word Bristol hip-hop act.
Credited in a recent upload to Youtube of a hip-hop inspired spoken word video by a user named Phil Mac, Paul was referenced as the director for the video.
Paul wrote in the comment section: "Amazing work am so proud of you man. You are going to go far mate I believe in you one hundred percent. Keep going and never give up!"

Paul mission to help those battling drug addiction is detailed on the group's website.
The website explains: "By providing a specifically focused, accessible and non-judgmental opportunity, we engage with groups of individuals with similar experiences to bring them gently out from the shadows and into 'The Morning After’."
"Our trauma informed and intuitive delivery provides a safe, fun and expressive space for people to access support, learn new skills, build confidence, develop tools to strengthen personal wellbeing and discover new positive coping strategies and behaviours through the art of theatre and improvisation."
In 2022, Paul starred on Celebrity Coach trip, which he later revealed left him needing therapy.
The show typically sees contestants voted off the coach by the other participants, and Paul admitted that he found the process "brutal".
He said of the experience: "I had to get a bit of counselling. It taps into a lot of stuff – like rejection. It’s brutal."
